Characters name: Tordal
Race: Tauren (might change to blood elf in the near future)
Class: Paladin
Level: 28-30ish
Background story: I suppose you mean my character's background story. To be honest I haven't really figured out a story that I like yet. And considering that I'm probably going to change race to Blood Elf, I'm putting the character background on hold for now. Don't worry though, I'm fairly creative so I'll figure out something catchy and trustworthy Obviously It'd have to be something which could relate to my character ending up in The Light Watch Order..
Have you read both our guild information and properly understood it? Give a quick overview of what you understood from it and what do you think we are: Well, obviously TLWO is a political organization which strives to maintain stability, shelter and protection for people within the horde. A sort of ideological group one might say.
TLWO is divided into three branches. Each branch requires different personal skills and abilities (I consider myself a potential knight).
Regarding which of your projects I would like to get deeper involved in, I can't really say right now. Obviously millitary explorer group sounds exciting, but I'm not ready for those kinds of challenges without sufficient training for my character.
How did you hear about the Light Watch Order? Through the in-game guild finder.
Why do you want to join the Light Watch Order? I want to get a deeper connection with my character, and for me that requires a more strict roleplay-guild, so that's what I've been looking for. When your guild popped up, it immediately caught my attention with the fancy uniforms and well planned story.
Have you previously belonged to any other guilds? If yes, which? Oh, where do I start? Having played WoW since 2005 I've been in a fair amount of guilds. Those worth noticing is:
<Ghosts of perdition> a fairly hardcore guild (top 5 on Ahn'Qiraj). I ended up being rogue class leader, and after a while Co-GM.
<Mature Weekend Raiders> the name says it all. I stepped down from hardcore raiding and joined this wonderful bunch of people. Ended up being 2nd in command of the guild there as well after a while, but I took a long break and therefore stepped down from the officer role. When I came back, most of my in-game friends had left, so I started up new with a RL friend of mine.
If yes, why did you leave? Uhm.. I didn't see this question until after I answered the previous one. See above for answers to this question.
Have you roleplayed before? Tempted to say no. I've dabbled in such things, but never really taken the full step to become a roleplayer.
If yes, what would you say your experience is? N/A
What do you feel you can contribute to the guild; what do you expect from us in return? Above all, I bring experience in PvE. Other than that, I'm a fairly mature and intelectual person (working as an engineer irl). I wanted to say that I'm bringing cookies, but I ate them all...
Is this your main character or an alt? That's actually a difficult question. My 85 characters are on another realm, in another guild. I'm not really fond of the realm they're on though. It's quite inactive. At least per today, I aim to play 70-90% of my gaming-time on this character. Things might change in the future, but I'm very open about my activity, so don't expect any sudden surprises.
If this is an alt, list the guilds your main character and other alts are in, and tell how active you will be on this alt. N/A
Are you dedicated to spending time roleplaying with others in the guild; helping out with tasks, storylines and/or having a relaxed chat? Of course. Otherwise I wouldn't be in need of a guild would I? To me that's the spirit of this game. Being social, helping eachother out and playing together. I've got single-player games for when I feel like being on my own.
How would you feel if a senior member were to be asked to mentor you as you advance through the ranks of the guild? It's always nice with a mentor. However, it depends on what he's supposed to achieve through being my mentor. If he aims to teach me the ways of PvE, then he'd probably be better off tutoring other, less experienced players. I know where to find answers to my PvE related questions. If his goal is to integrate me to the guild, make me a better roleplayer, and in general make me a proper example of a man of the light watch order, then I welcome a mentor with open arms.
What are the locations you most often roleplay in? Why these ones? At the moment I'm mostly just sneaking on others who roleplay Silvermoon and the blood elf starting area are my favourites at the moment. I've always liked the architecture and the look and feel of the blood elves.
Is there anything special we need to know about your character? Nothing right now.
Is there anything else you would like to add to your application? I have a RL friend who most likely will apply as well should I get accepted. Playing with him is a high priority for me, so having him here as well would make things much easier.
Thanks for taking the time to read my application!
